Botanical Art Network
The Botanical Art Network brings together around 100 artists and journalists who are passionate about plants. Since 2014, we have been organizing annual meetings in different locations in Germany, including visits to exhibitions and discussion groups. An integral part of each meeting is a portfolio sharing session, where anyone who wishes to do so can show their own work.

Network meeting
For the tenth meeting in Erlangen in 2024, a team of four organized a wide-ranging program with technology demonstrations, special tours of the botanical garden, the university library, and the Faber-Castell factory, as well as workshops with Janie Pirie and Lucilla Carcano.

The network was founded in 2014 by Sylvia Peter and Verena Redmann. Both are members of the international committee of the exhibition project “Botanical Art Worldwide” and organized the German-Austrian contribution in 2018 and 2025 with a dedicated team of organizers. The main purpose of the network is to establish connections between botanical artists, from beginners to professionals. Guests from Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Slovenia often attend the meetings.
